Trailer does not have a center bar, and there is a movable devider in the trailer. Trailer is about10" off the ground.
If you are loading two horses, always load the heavier horse on the left side of the trailer. Have someone lead the horse in while someone else waits to put up the butt bar. Do NOT clip the horse's head until the bar is up. Once the first horse is securely loaded the the same with the second (if there is a second.) Double check to make sure the horse's are comfortable and calm, then close the trailer up. Do a safety check (double check the doors, the tailgate, the hookup, the lights) and you're set!
To unload, you do everything in reverse. Have someone at the horse's head and someone at the butt bar. Unhook the horse's head first and then undo the butt bar. The person at the back of the trailer can place a hand on the horse's hindquarter to help guide him out.

Adjusted the electric brake controller and applied more to the trailer brakes which seemed to help, never experienced this before. What should I check first?
Too much weight on the towbar, making the car front wheels lift off the road. Put more weight to the back of the trailer or use level rides.

I recently bought a horse trailer from a guy. He said he had a homemade trailer title for it, and that he'd mail it to me, but he hasn't, and they won't return my phone calls. So, I was wondering how I could get a homemade trailer title and register it for it myself. I live in Missouri. Thanks!
I know it's water over the dam now, but for the benefit of others, do not exchange money for any vehicle unless the title is available, in hand, for transfer of ownership via notarized signature.
Did you get a bill of sale. This may help get it titled & registered in your name. Otherwise, keep bugging them by phone. Keep a record of all calls (date, time). If it is local, sue them in small claims for the value of the trailer or maximum amount allowed, whichever is less. You will have to return the trailer if they refund your money. Hopefully, the trailer is valued less than your court's maximum allowable amount.

2 horse, under 1,500, goosnack or bumper, with small tack room or not
Horse trader and other free publications usually have used trailers in them. It can be difficult to find them at low prices you just have to keep checking. Also try:

In response to 'Equestrian's' less than polite remark...not everyone can afford to drop $10,000+ on a trailer when you only use one occasionally. Most of the time it's purely cosmetic and lacking luxuries like tack rooms. Paint and other extras do not affect horse safety. If you have a solid floor and essential components the rest is irrelevant.
